Christening Chapter 1: Family Portraits

Title: Family Portraits
Series: Human Target
Pairings: N/A
Warnings: MASSIVELY AU, violence, implied torture and rape
Disclaimer: I do not own Human Target.  If I did, there would be much more Guerrero.
Summary: First part in the Christening series.  Before he became "Guerrero," Hector Gutierrez is being held in an Ecuadorian prison.  What happens to him there, and how did he come to be there?
Author's Notes:  As of this writing, I have only seen up to Human Target episode 7, "Salvage and Reclamation."  But I've become so curious about Chance and Guerrero's pasts, their real names and how they are intertwined together, that I went and built a backstory for them.  (IN A CAVE!  WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!)  When we find out what their actual pasts are in the show, this is going to get Jossed so hard, my head will spin.  Until then, enjoy this vaguely plausible AU, and look for the next part in this 'verse coming soon!

Full House: Two Jacks and Three Queens 2/4

Title: Full House: Two Jacks and Three Queens
Pairings: R/NO
Warnings: AU, mildly sexual scenes, rampant cliches, OCs (that's a warning, right?)
Disclaimer: Sing it with me, now!
Alan Moore, he had a book,
E-I-E-I-O!
And in that book, there were hot guys,
E-I-E-I-O!
And I don't own them, so please don't sue,
Here a "don't," there a "sue," everywhere a "don't sue,"
Please don't sue me, 'cause I'm broke,
E-I-E-I-O!
Summary: Rorschach and Nite Owl are captured by a pair of vice queens. The terms of their release are simple, but simple doesn't always mean easy...
Author's Notes: Co-op fic with tonights. Enjoy!

His voice was mostly normal...Collapse )

Author's Notes: *brushes off cobwebs* Wow, journal, long time, no see. Am beginning the long and arduous process of combing through the Watchmen kinkmemes, cleaning up all the rubbish I've written and archiving it here for posterity. This was written in July as a co-op fic with tonights, and if it's well-received (and I pry her out of the clutches of grad school), I'd like to do a DVD commentary. This fic is set pre-Roche, when Rorschach was given to sanity, pronoun usage and bathing. Enjoy!

It was a whore's room.Collapse )
Behold, a Rule 63 Dan/Wanda mix, with bonus Charlie Dreiberg!  I love Wanda; she's my favorite 63 character and she seems to have developed her own "canon."  Here's my shot at her story.

This is dedicated to tonights, who asked for this mix.  If you like it, thank her.  ^_^

American love. Like Coke in green glass bottles. They don't make it anymore.Collapse )

Compromise (I Remember You Well) 4/4

Title: Compromise (I Remember You Well)

Rating:
PG-13

Pairing: Dan/Walter

Warnings:
AU, post-GN (spoilers for same)

Disclaimer:
Don't own, don't sue.

Summary:
What if Rorschach had decided differently in the wreckage of Karnak? Why would he make such a choice, and what would it mean for himself, Daniel and Veidt's brave new world?

Author's Notes:  Before you read this chapter, please go and listen to this song.  It's not absolutely necessary, but I think that it will help to set the tone of the chapter, and hopefully convey what I was trying to paint through the whole story.  That's really all I have to say at this point, except that this was a pretty emotional ride for me.  I hope I did it justice.

Part 1 - "But for me, you would make an exception..."

Part 2 - "Those were the reasons, and that was New York..."

Part 3 - "We are ugly, but we have the music..."

I need you, I don't need you...Collapse )

Author's Notes: Third chapter of four, we’re almost there, folks. Apologies in advance to any Adrian Veidt fans; while I do love him dearly, megalomaniacal pseudo-messiah that he is, I can’t help but imagine that his attempt at a “stronger loving world” would turn out a lot like a different Alan Moore graphic novel (in b4 WRONG COUNTRY, BETCH). Also, apologies for my meandering threads o’ symbolism. If all goes according to plan, chapter four should wrap them up and (hopefully) answer any and all questions in the reader’s mind.

Thank you again to all of my reviewers! Your interest helps to keep me going, and I hope that you continue to enjoy my efforts!

Author's Notes:
I actually finished this part yesterday, but I've been going back and forth like mad, puttering and tweaking and generally behaving like a big girl's blouse before I threw up my hands and said "Fuck it!  We'll do it live!" I do feel a bit justified in my nervousness; not only is this my first attempt at writing anything sexual (tame and discreet though it is), considering the characters and their megatons of issues, writing anything sexual about this pairing is like navigating a deadly swamp. Strewn with landmines. And infested by dragons. Please don't throw me down an elevator shaft.

Also, for anyone who wants to play "Spot the Reference," here are the lyrics to "Chelsea Hotel No. 2," by Leonard Cohen.

Thank you to all those who left comments. Hope you enjoy this part as well! *hides*

Author's Notes:
First fic in a new fandom = instafail. GN-verse with heavy influences from the movie portrayals, I hope that this piece will have something to satisfy both the forgiving purists and the moviefen. This idea is my attempt at translating Leonard Cohen's song "Chelsea Hotel No. 2" into prose form, as well as an experiment in narrative stream-of-conciousness. Unbeta'd as I have no fandom friends who have read the GN or seen the film. (Any volunteers? Anyone? Bueller?)

Hope you enjoy!
